How to Restore Lost Tabs in Mozilla Firefox After Closing the Browser

Have you ever been browsing the internet using the Mozilla Firefox browser and experienced something unpleasant? For example, when you have several tabs open and accidentally press the close/exit button on the Mozilla Firefox browser, all of the important tabs you were working with disappear, and you have to open them all again.

Well, on this occasion, I will provide a tutorial that may help prevent this from happening if you accidentally or simply forget that you still have the Mozilla Firefox browser open while browsing. So, how do you do it? Without further ado, let's follow this tutorial:

Tutorial:

  1. First, make sure you have installed the latest version of the Mozilla Firefox browser.
  2. Once you have done that, open your Mozilla Firefox browser.
  3. Now, on the main page of Mozilla Firefox, type "about:preferences" into the address bar of Mozilla Firefox first, and then press the enter key on the keyboard. (If you don't know what the address bar is, when you open your Mozilla Firefox browser, you should see a long white box that usually displays the URL or domain name of the website you are visiting, that is the address bar).
  4. Here, you will see a list of menu tabs on the left side, select the "Home and Startup" menu on the left side.
  5. After that, you will see a checkbox labeled "Open previous windows and tabs", the checkbox with that label should be located directly above the checkbox labeled "Automatically open Firefox when your computer starts up", so you should be able to see it there.
  6. Now, click the checkbox labeled "Open previous windows and tabs".
  7. After that, close this Mozilla settings page by closing its tab.
  8. Now, try opening more than 2 or 3 tabs, then click the X button on your browser, then you should see the 2 or 3 tabs that you opened previously.
  9. So, what do you think? Easy, right?
  10. Now, once you've done that, try closing or exiting Mozilla Firefox with multiple tabs open at the same time by clicking the exit button on the browser, when you open Mozilla Firefox again, the tabs you had previously opened should not disappear.
  11. If everything is done, enjoy.

Conclusion

Well, that was easy, right? Of course, it was very easy, i created this tutorial because there may be many users who have dozens of tabs or pages open in Mozilla Firefox, however, they may accidentally press the "X" button on the Mozilla Firefox browser.

Normally, before enabling this setting, all of the tabs open in the browser would disappear or close immediately, when you opened Firefox again, the pages you had previously opened would be gone and could no longer be restored.

With this setting enabled, Firefox can automatically reopen your previous windows and tabs, so you don't have to worry about accidentally closing the browser while you still have many important tabs open.
